Honey and Clover 2

ok...too obvious, dah terlalu lama tak update. East of Eden still continuing, now the latest, English Sub at episode 18, catch it at viikii.net.

Forgive me, I wish to write in proper Malay nevertheless seems like I'm failing. Mostly, it is more tempting writing in 'rojak manglish', non restriction and I can get to job done faster.

Okay, enough of the mumbling, I wanted to share, one of my beloved anime, Honey and Clover, bought Season 2 recently for my collection.

It was sometimes ago, my lil sister introduce this anime, it caught my intention instantly and not to mention it's breathtaking artwork, mostly done in watercolor, nowadays this kind of anime artwork is really rare and somehow this technique really suit H&C, its soften the character.

I wrote my review sometimes ago but it's mostly about Season 1. Season 2 is the final of Honey and Clover, the answer to all questions. By the end of the episode, you are so sure that this is never going to continue although you wish otherwise.

It start where Season 1 left off, Takemoto and Hagu now in their final year at the academy and their senior Yamada, Mayama and Morita now focusing on their future after the university. Mayama resigned from his previous job and working with Ms Rika at Harada Design. While, Yamada helping her family wine shop business, she also doing pottery for Rika. While obviously Yamada had unsettled feelings towards Mayama, eventually she'll understand and accepted that fact, she grew closer to Nomiya.

While Takemoto concentrating on his final year project, he felt adrift from Hagu due to his love confession from Season 1, although they remain as good friend, they barely talk to each other. Hagu met with accident on the first day of Hamabi festival, she lost her right hand nerves, and her future in painting came shattered. Takemoto and Morita were planning to stay with Hagu to help with her rehabilition but finally Hagu choose her uncle, Shuuji Hanamoto over them.

At the end of the series, Morita now working as CG director in Hollywood as the rest watching his interview on dinner table, a parting feast for Takemoto who'll be working at the shrine in Morioka. Just like Takemoto said,''one day, they all be parting to lead their own future, what happen now is only memories in the future''.
